Executive coaching
One-to-one coaching for senior leaders. Engagements usually run as six-session arcs shaped around what your role is asking of you; we begin with a chemistry conversation, without charge, so you can judge the fit before committing to anything.

Team facilitation
Days with leadership teams that need to work better than they do: conflict awareness, collaboration, decision-making under pressure. I am accredited in Radical Collaboration and design each day around the team in the room, not a deck.

Leadership programmes
Longer development programmes and residential offsites, built with the organisation over months rather than delivered in a day. Indoors or outdoors as the work suits; I have run them everywhere from boardrooms to the hills of Eryri.

The twelve-month review
A half-day return, a year after a programme or team day: what embedded, what quietly dissolved, and what the next twelve months need. Short, honest and often the most valuable day of the whole engagement.
Every engagement begins with an introductory conversation, free of charge and without obligation. If the fit is right, we agree the scope, cadence and terms in writing before we begin. Sessions are held online or in person, as the work demands, and everything said in them stays there. I work within the ICF Code of Ethics and carry full professional indemnity insurance.
About
I spent twenty-three years in the Royal Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer, serving as Executive Officer of a nuclear submarine and later as Fleet Warfare Officer; I was the first UK officer to pass the US Submarine Command Course. Along the way I led departments covering policy, training, recruitment and HR.
Since leaving the service, I have led at senior level across business and the third sector: a three-year turnaround of a media production company from near bankruptcy to a profitable, internationally recognised business; the chairmanship of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors; and an executive directorship and trusteeship of Mountain Training UK. I was also Course Director of a Royal British Legion programme using coaching and adventurous training in the recovery of wounded, injured and sick soldiers and veterans.
Today I coach CEOs, board-level and senior executives across five continents, in finance, tech, engineering, public service, health, media and the charity world, working to the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
And throughout it all, the mountains. I hold the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (Winter) award, the highest UK climbing instructor qualification, with first ascents of long technical routes in the Himalaya. I live in Eryri, North Wales; when I am not working I am usually somewhere high.
